LONG BEACH, CA October 18, 2024 — The South Coast Chorale (SCC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Lindsey Hundley as Collaborative Artist/Pianist. Lindsey, who brings over 20 years of experience as a piano soloist, vocalist, music director, arranger and composer, is already in rehearsals for the first show of the Chorale’s 35th anniversary season.
“It is an honor to work with the South Coast Chorale and Dr. Lynn Atkins,” said Lindsey. “Choral music is one of my many passions, as is working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am looking forward to this new adventure!”
Besides her new role with the Chorale, Lindsey will also continue as a private teacher, choir director, show choir band director, choral and band arranger and performer.
Lindsey follows the late Principal Accompanist Luis Mota, who tragically passed away from a sudden and surprisingly virulent illness in June.
“The South Coast Chorale celebrates our creative collaboration with Lindsey,” said Tony Almero-Stokes, SCC’s board president. “Lindsey joined efforts with the Chorale as we struggled with the monumental loss of Luis Mota, meeting us with exceptional professionalism and compassion. It is our privilege to continue moving forward together, expanding our partnership in a way that will pay tribute to our history and further enrich the Long Beach arts community.”
