Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement
The South Coast Chorale uses music as a universal vehicle for messages of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We consider these principles to be among the primary tenets of our mission and vision, requiring continuous and active effort.
We are committed to creating a welcoming environment of belonging for all people by adopting policies, practices, and programming, as well as recruiting and seeking singers, staff, board members, and community partners that reflect and embrace these core values. In doing so, we ensure diverse and equitable access to our programming and our organization both internally and externally for our patrons and audiences.
Building bridges through music requires a diversity of ideas and perspectives that can only be nurtured in an equitable environment that welcomes all backgrounds and traditions, removes systemic barriers and implicit bias, and fosters excellence for all.
